Why we skipped New York Fashion Week this year - Sep 2026
You may have noticed something missing from our feed this season — Rhodin wasn't on the ground in New York for Fashion Week. If you've been wondering why, here's the honest answer.

1. 2026 has asked us to be considered with our finances.

It's been a challenging year, and like any business, that's meant refocusing our spend on what matters most right now.

2. 2027 isn't far away.

We haven't ruled New York out — we've simply chosen to be patient about when we show up.

3. We're doubling down on who we are.

Right now, our focus is on becoming known, first and foremost, as a leading Australian resort accessories brand — investing our resources into being best in class in contemporary Australian design.

4. New York deserves to be done properly.

It's one of our favourite cities in the world, and when we go, we want to do it right — not squeeze it in.

5. We've given ourselves 12 months to plan it properly.

No rush, no half-measures. Just a proper plan for a proper return.

6. Because honestly, we've had our hands full.

We have several major announcements landing before the end of 2026:

  • A special one for our local community here on the NSW, Central Coast

  • A new partnership with an iconic Australian brand — ( 30 years in business) — that will see Rhodin accessories available to their customer base.

  • Our Rainforest Collection, dropping in three volumes as we head into summer- watch this space in a few weeks.

  • A co-designed sunglass with another household name in Australian fashion, launching for summer

So as you can see, there's a lot happening in the house of Rhodin, and we're so excited to keep sharing new updates with you as we go.

Got questions? DM us on Instagram — we'd love to chat.

Have a great rest of your week.
